The Monterrey Open is a professional Women's Tennis Tournament and was initiated in 2009. It is played on outdoor hard courts. The event is affiliated with the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), and is part of the International tournaments on the WTA Tour. The tournament is currently held at the Sierra Madre Tennis Club. Timea Babos is the defending champion after she defeated Alexandra Cadantu.
