The ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament is a part of the 500 series of the ATP World Tour. This tennis tournament is played on indoor hard courts at the Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam. The first edition of this tournament was held in 1974. Some illustrious winners of this tournament are Arthur Ashe, Jimmy Connors, Bjorn Borg, Boris Becker and Stefan Edberg. Since 2004, former Dutch tennis player Richard Krajicek has been the tournament director.

Wounded Del Potro trumps Benneteau to capture Rotterdam crown
Last year's runner-up Juan Martin Del Potro went a step better at Ahoy's Tennis Plaza in Rotterdam on Sunday as he denied Julien Benneteau of France in the final of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament to lift his 14th ATP tour level title. The former Flushing Meadows winner conquered the world no.39 7-6 (7/2), 6-3 in an hour and 37 minutes despite suffering from a nostril problem during the closing stages of the contest.

World no.7 Juan Martin Del Potro will attempt to go one better than last year where he lost to Wimbledon winner Roger Federer in the final as this time round the Swiss will not be standing across the net to stop him from clinching the title at the Ahoy Rotterdam's Tennis Plaza in the Netherlands on Sunday. In fact it will be the master's slayer Frenchman Julien Benneteau who will confront him for his first ATP tour level crown, while the Argentine will vie for his 14th tournament victory.
