President of Tennis Australia, Steve Healy thanks the sponsors for their support along with the 4500 staff at the year's first Grand Slam title.

With this win Djokvic claims his fifth Grand Slam title and third at the Australian Open, having previously triumphed in 2008 and 2011.  Besides that Djokovic just became the fifth man in the history of tennis to win three consecutive grand slam titles in the Open Era joining Rod Laver, Pete Sampras, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal
