World no. 3 Caroline Wozniacki defeated Kai-Chen Chang in straight sets 6-4 6-3 and comfortably reached the third round of the Championships 2010.
In the women’s second round match the third seeded Caroline Wozniacki from Denmark knocked out Kai-Chen Chang – the non seeded star of Taipei in straight sets with a 6-4 6-3 scoreline.
Wozniacki held her nerves during the crucial moments and shown great resilience to maintain the consistency throughout the match. The world no. 3 easily got the break of serve at the right time in every set and subdued Chang in straight sets within 76 minutes of play. Wozniacki served wonderfully well in the second set as she earned 67% of her second serve points as compared to 30% of Chang in the second set.

Wozniacki only committed 11 unforced errors as compared to 22 unforced errors of Cheng which played the major role in deciding the result of the match.
Earlier, former Wimbledon champion Maria Sharapova easily defeated the Romanian Ioanaraluca Olaru 6-1 6-4 and reached the third round of the Championships 2010.
Sharapova will play either 24th-seeded Daniela Hantuchova or Barbora Zahlavova Strycova in the next round. In another women matches: No. 7-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska defeated Alberta Brianti 6-2 6-0. No. 10 Flavia Pennetta swept Monica Niculescu 6-1 6-1, and No. 14 Victoria Azarenka beat Bojana Jovanovski 6-1 6-4. No. 23 Zheng Jie lost to Petra Kvitova 6-4 2-6 6-2.
