Caroline Wozniacki made it look so easier against the Italian Francesca Schiavone that the Dane registered an easy victory in straight sets with a 6-3 6-2 scoreline and reached the semi-final of the Rogers Cup 2010, being played here in Montreal, Canada.
Re-visit the exciting moments of this match!
Wozniacki earned the first break in the sixth game of the first set, when Schiavone failed to negotiate a tricky drop-shot near the net and easily wrapped up the first set with a 6-2 score.
Wozniacki thoroughly took the momentum of the first set into second and got the coveted break in the first game of the second set. But, the French Open winner Schiavone bounced back and earned the break in the next game to equalize the score at 1-1 each.
After putting all the hard work to break back, Schiavone committed some unforced errors in the next game and allowed Wozniacki to get back the break. Wozniacki broke again in the seventh game and comprehensively won the second set with a 6-2 score.
