Winning in Toronto is a 'big achievement' - Tsonga
Following his stunning performance at the recently concluded Rogers Cup, Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was understandably delighted.

Always know as one of the sport’s most misunderstood characters, Frenchman Jo-Wilfried Tsonga put in a remarkably consistent display of sensational tennis at the Rogers Cup last week to win his second Masters Series 1000 title. The former Australian Open finalist, who had fallen outside the top 10 of the world, has once again booked his spot in the game’s elite.

On his way to the win, the 29 year-old registered wins over Novak Djokovic, Grigor Dimitrov and then Roger Federer in the final. It was an impeccable display from the newly crowned World No.10, who was understandably delighted.

"I feel good," said a jubilant Tsonga. "I think for the moment I don't realize really what I achieved this week, but it's a big achievement for me.

"It's completely different than before when I won in Paris. In Paris it was the first one, behind my family, all my friends, everybody. Here I just did it with my level, with my game. I played well all week. I beat many good guys. It's a big achievement because I worked really hard to come back from my knee injury last year."

Going into the Cincinnati Masters, Jo will now be a serious contender and will be looking to take this form into the US Open which is just two weeks away now.
