Serena Williams had an unexpected exit from Roland Garros and will try and improve her performance at this Slam. Serena is known for raising her level of the game during Grand Slams. Serena Williams defeated Larcher De Brito in straight sets in the first round. Serena is seeded and ranked number 1 among the WTA rankings. Chakvetadze has not being playing at her top level and is currently ranked at number 118 among the WTA rankings.
Serena and Chakvetadze have met once before back in 2007 on hard court surface and Chakvetadze won that encounter. Serena is hungry for a slam and will be eager to perform to her best at this year's Wimbledon Serena's win/loss record for this year stands at 18/4.Chakvetadze does not have an impressive record as her win/loss record stands at 10/10 this year
Serena's armour is her big serve and her weapons are the big forehands and the strategically placed backhands with which she manages to push her opponent to the edges of the court. Chakvetadze uses her backhand and proves her superiority with it. The only concern would be her serve as Serena would be more than eager to pound her second serve and break her confidence. A well fought match between these players are expected to take place today
