Czech No. 1 Tomas Berdych took the second set in a tie breaker with a 7 (3)-6 scoreline and went two sets up in his semifinal match again Novak Djokovic. 

Both the players missed many opportunities to break others and finally the set reached the tie-breaker, where Berdych played consistently and pocketed the second set.
