Serena Williams has become used to the favorite tag and almost any Grand Slam she decides to enter she is the favorite to win it. She once again comes into Wimbledon a favorite, but not the favorite. Following her defeat in the opening round at Roland Garros, experts seem to have written the American off, and believe that it marked the end of an era, an era that was dominated by the Williams sisters. Serena however, is known to be a fighter and one who can power through her opponents on days that she is focused.
Her win-loss record stands at 28-3 and she has won two titles this year one in Charleston and the other in Madrid.
On the other side of the court is unrenowned Barbora Zahlavova Strycova of the Czech Republic. The Czech has had a half-decent year so far, making it to the quarters at Budapest. She has managed to qualify for every marquee event this year, and has a win-loss record of 9-16.
Their only match against one another came at the Aussie Open this year, and the American brushed the Czech aside 6-0,6-4 in that one.
TennisEarth picks a thumping win for Serena.

I sure hope Serena wins this match and goes on to win the entire tournament. She's worked hard, and she has overcome truly demonic racism to get as far as she has. Gooo, Serena!
