Fourth seeded Andy Murray defeated Russian Nikolay Davydenko with 6-1, 6-1, 6-4 scoreline to reach the second round of The Championships 2012, Wimbledon on Tuesday.

Murray stepped on the pedal from word 'go' and never allowed Davydenko to settle down in the middle. Murray broke Davydenko three times in the first set and won it 6-1. He continued to roll with the momentum in the second set as well as he broke the Russian twice to wrap the second set with the same scoreline as of first set.

In the third set, Murray broke Davydenko in the first game of the set and kept it till the end to register a straight set victory.

He will next face either Ivo Karlovic or Dudi Sela of Israel.
