Victoria Azarenka comes into the match with an awe-inspiring 23-match winning streak as she looks to win her fifth title of 2012. She takes on Michaella Krajicek of Netherlands. With both players being hard hitters, this match will a good match to see as Victoria is just coming back to form after a minor health problem.
Azarenka is the 'WTA player' at the moment, with an unbeaten streak in 2012. Azarenka is in her prime and looks to keep it that way. Her counter punching packed with her aggression makes her one of the most feared opponents right now. She is ranked at the top of the table and she deserves it too. Her playing style is hard to read and this is what makes her even more dangerous, the streak says it all. She looks to further extend her streak and is very capable of doing so.
Michaella Krajicek, on the other hand, is ranked 71 in the world and has a 9-6 win-loss record coming into the tournament. She started the year on a decent note with second rounds at the Brisbane International and the Australian Open. A couple of quarter-final appearances at the Regions Morgan Keegan Championships and the Abierto Mexicano Telcel marked her return of form as she looks to keep the good form going and try causing the biggest upset of the year by far.
This is the first time the two will meet on the opposite side of the court and as the rankings suggest, it should be one way traffic for Azarenka, till Krajicek does something spectacular.
