Rafael Nadal seems to have got a favourable draw. He could face any of the three Spaniards David Ferrer, Feliciano Lopez and Fernando Verdasco in the quarter-final or David Nalbandian, who is attempting his comeback on the tour after nursing a hip injury.
In the semi-finals, Nadal could face a stern test against Andy Murray. The two met in the 2008 semifinals, a match Murray won over in two days. Nadal is 8-4 overall against Murray but has lost four of their last five meetings on hardcourts.
