Former World No 2 and wild card entrant Tommy Haas faces Cypriot Marcos Baghdatis in the second quarter-final match at 2012 BMW Open.
Haas, who is making his first appearance in Munich in five years, has 4-4 win loss record this year. Haas has an 11-8 career mark in Munich and was a runner-up in 2000. He defeated countryman Michael Berrer 6-0, 6-2 to advance into the second round and then stunned top seeded Jo-wilfried Tsonga of France 6-1, 6-4.
His opponent - Baghdatis, a former World No 8, is 7-3 in Munich and has reached the semi-finals twice in 2007 and 2010. He reached the semi-finals this season in Sydney and Zagreb and is playing in his second clay court tournament of the year.
Both players have met once at 2005 in Basel, where Baghdatis won 6-2, 6-3.
