Australian No 1 Samantha Stosur dismissed fourth seeded Jelena Jankovic's challenge 6-1 6-2 to storm into the final of Roland Garros on Thursday.

Both women held their opening service games in the first set, but the Australian stepped on the pedal from there and then reeled off five games in row with the help of two breaks.
She successfully served for the set and took one set lead in the match.

Jankovic regrouped herself in the match and started the second set with 2-0 lead.
But her error-marked play let her down the in the third game of the second set and allowed Stosur to get on the board.
Stosur again started dominating things in the middle and broke Jankovic at 3-2. Jankovic got herself broken for the second time in the set at 5-2 and gave the opportunity to Stosur to serve for the match.
The Australian kept her serves on target and wrapped up the match in straight sets.
In the finals she faces Francesca Schiavone of Italy, who advanced into the final when Elena Dementieva of Russia retired after losing the first set 7-6 (3) .
Dementieva later said she pulled out because her leg injury surfaced again.
"I have a tear in my left calf, so it's very painful to even walk," said the Russian."Today was just a sharp pain. It was a bit too much."
