Ukrainian Sergiy Stakhovsky came back from a set deficit to earn a convincing victory over the Uzbek Denis Istomin in three sets with a 3-6 6-3 6-4 and won the 2010 Pilot Pen Tennis championships, being played here in New Haven, USA.

Sergiy Stakhovsky hit 32 winners, 7 aces and took full advantage of Istomin's 28 unforced errors to register a come-from-behind victory. The decisive break came in the fifth game of the final set after which Stakhovsky carefully held all his serves to complete the win.
After losing the first set on a tame note, Stakhovsky regrouped himself nicely and held on to all his serves to earn a convincing victory in the end. With this title win, Stakhovsky improved his perfect record in ATP World Tour finals to 4-0. In fact, Stakhovsky also became the first Ukrainian to win two titles in a season since Andrei Medvedev in 1994.
