Top seed and defending champion Robin Soderling once again proved that he is a force to be reckoned with in men's tennis when he recovered form a set deficit to beat Spaniard David Ferrer in three gruelling sets.

Soderling made a bad start to the match and lost his serve in the third game to let Ferrer get away with the first set by 6 games to 4. The second set saw a role reversal of sorts when Ferrer lost his serve in the eighth game to give Soderling a chance to come back in to the match which he did and levelled it at one set a piece.
The final set turned out to be a lopsided affar when Soderling broke Ferrer's serve repeatedly to complete the 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 win in almost two hours of play.
Soderling now meets Spaniard Nicolas Almagro, who crushed two time former champion Tommy Robredo in little over an hour with a 6-1, 6-3 scoreline.
Both finalists have met five times with Soderling leading the head-to-head 3-2.
