Top-seeded Wimbledon Champion Serena Williams hardly broke sweat as she walked past Romanian Sorana Cirstea in the semifinal of the Bank of West Classic tournament here in Stanford, CA. She finally won her match 6-1,
What an opening set it was for the World No.4 and the defending champion. She played tennis that one associates only with Serena, being dominant and imposing herself on her opponent. She looked to have finally shrugged off her jet lag. She broke serve twice in that set first in the fourth game and the sixth game. The writing already seemed to be on the wall for Sorana. Serena arrowed 3 aces and won 80 percent of the points on her first serve.

She then held her own serve and looked dominant on her opponent's finally closing the set 6-2.
