Andy Roddick managed to survive a fierce competition put up by unfancied opponent Dudi Sela in the finals of China Open. Dudi impressed with his range of shots but Roddick relied on his experience to wrap up the match 6-4 6-7(6-8) 6-3.
The opening set saw long rallies between both the players and both of them held their service games till fifth one when Roddick forced a break.He won the opening set 6-4.During second set Roddick got an early break but Dudi came back strongly and recovered to win 8-6 in the tie breaker.
In the third set roddick recollected himself and broke Dudi in sixth game to get crucial breakthrough. He romped home winning the third set 6-3.
