Wild card entrant and sixth seeded Andy Roddick of America downed third seeded and defending champion Andreas Seppi with 6-3, 6-2 scoreline in the title match of 2012 Aegon International.
Both players traded a single exchange of break in the start of the first set. Roddick was quick to get two more breaks of serve in the set and raced to 5-1 lead. The Italian tried to sneak his way back in the match as he was able to break Roddick at 5-2 but failed to repeat the feat in the ninth game.

The American continued to roll with the momentum in the second set as well as he secured a early break at 2-1. Roddick consolidated the lead to 4-1 with the help of another break and kept the distance till the end to lift the trophy.
With this win, Roddick pocketed €71,000 and 250 ATP Ranking points and Seppi got €37,400 and 150 ATP Ranking points for being a runner-up in the tournament.
