Andy Roddick recently confessed that this year could be his last at Wimbledon. The American has in his time played some fantastic tennis at the All England Club and he is enormously unlucky to have never won a title here.
If this does turn out to be his last Wimbledon and the American is unable to win the coveted trophy, his Wimbledon destiny will remain unfulfilled. Like Goran Ivanesevic, Roddick has reached three finals here, but has never been able to cross the last hurdle. The last time he was in the final in 2009, it almost seemed unfair that Roddick had to lose that one. As has been the case throughout Andy's career, Roger Federer was the thorn in his flesh here at Wimbledon too. In three finals, Roddick could never solve the Federer puzzle. Had he rolled up his sleeves and pushed down his shorts (like he did at BNP Paribas showdown) may be he could have pulled off the impossible. Nevertheless, this year presents yet another chance to the American, lets hope the American is able to pull a rabbit out of the hat this year.
Though he never could never become win a final at Wimbledon, his commitment and desire does make him a champion. Lets relive his journey to those three finals.
