World No.10 Richard Gasquet of France displayed some inspiring tennis to humble Slovak Lukas Lacko in straight sets 6-3, 6-1 in an hour and 11 minutes to book a place in the semi-finals of the Qatar Open. He faces German qualifier Daniel Brands for a place in the finals.
The first set last for 27 minutes with Gasquet playing some fine tennis. He smacked 7 winners and broke the Lacko serve thrice out of four chances. Lacko was very erratic and hit 14 unforced errors. The second set was all Gasquet, he capitalized on all the opportunities that came his way and broke the Lacko serve when he got a chance. The Slovak was a touch slow and Gasquet realized it. He made the Slovak move all around the court and got the rewards for that.
