Rezai first to reach Bali semis

Aravane Rezai of France became the first player to reach semi-finals of the Commonwealth Bank Tournament of Champions,Bali after she registered a 6-3 7-5 win over Hungary's Melinda Czink.

This was Rezai's second win at the tournament, her first came against Sabine Lisicki.
Rezai closed the first set 6-1 but fell 1-5 behind in the second set. However she staged a brilliant comeback and reeled off six consecutive game to win the match.
"It was very tough, a very difficult set," said Rezai. "Mentally I was down and it was difficult for me to continue fighting."
Also, Shahar Peer of Israel edged past Magdalena Rybarikova of Slovakia 6-1 7-6.
"I started to become a little defensive at 4-1," said Peer, "but I managed to find a way to get out of it and I'm happy to win in two sets."
In other matches of the day, wildcard Kimiko Date Krumm defeated Anabel Medina Garrigues of Spain 6-4 6-3 , while another Spaniard Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez overcame a first set deficit to beat Agnes Szavay 4-6 6-4 6-0.
