Rafael Nadal eyes Madrid Crown
World No.1 and defending champion Rafael Nadal is all set to dismiss his doubters with a title winning run at the upcoming Madrid Masters slated to begin from Monday in the Spanish capital.

King of Clay Rafael Nadal who suffered two shock defeats at the hands of compatriots David Ferrer at the Rolex Monte Carlo Masters and Nicolas Almagro at the Barcelona Open respectively is looking forward to playing at the Magic Box as he feels that his home crowd would help him out especially during the critical situations in his matches.

"Spain is my country and every time I play in any tournament here it is something special. The crowd always make a big difference here," said Nadal.

Not just form, the No.1 rankings of the Spaniard is also on the line as the Serb Novak Djokovic, the current World No.2 can overtake him at the top of the rankings if Nadal fails to reach the quarter-finals. Djokovic though would have to win the trophy in case Rafa bows out in the round of 8, otherwise the Majorcan will remain No.1.
