World No. 2 Rafael Nadal has been chosen to carry the flag for Spain at the opening ceremony of the London Olympics.

Top Spaniard Rafael Nadal has been chosen as the flag bearer for his country at the London Olympics. Reigning champion Nadal will carry the flag for Spain at the opening ceremony of the 2012 2012 Summer Olympic Games in London.

Nadal beat Fernando Gonzalez in the 2008 Beijing Olympics final to claim the gold medal. And, after that he won the 2010 US Open title and joined Andre Agassi as the only men’s singles player to clinch a career Golden Slam.

On the other hand, World No. 1 Novak Djokovic has been chosen to be the flag bearer for Serbia.
