Serbian tennis star and World No. 2 Novak Djokovic is gunning to reclaim numero-uno ranking of the ATP, by the end of the season. The candid Serbian affirmed his wish during a promotional tour to Taipei.
Djokovic has had a dream run in 2011, when he won three Grand Slams and a record five ATP World Tour Masters titles, which allowed him to stay firm on No. 1 ranking. But, he could not maintain the same form this season.
Djokovic was supplanted from the number one ranking by Swiss legend Roger Federer, when he won his seventh Wimbledon title and 17th career Grand Slam title in July.
"That's one of the goals. Of course I want to be number one of the world again. It's an ambition. It's possible by the end of the year," Djokovic told reporters.
"I try to focus on each tournament individually and see how it goes. I need to play really well because there are so many great players in this moment... so we'll see."
Earlier this season, Novak Djokovic successfully defended his Aussie Open title.

Yeah I think with Roger not playing this week, it gives Nole a good chance. Andy is just defending I think, so won't gain too much by winning. I think.

I think Nole is in with a good chance at ending the year at the top - Roger has had a fantastic year, but I do think he's getting tired.
