Novak Djokovic sails through to US Open third round
Novak Djokovic dropped just four games against Paul-Henri Mathieu as he registered a straight sets win in the second round of the US Open here in New York on Thursday.

World No. 1 Novak Djokovic, hardly broke a sweat on Thursday afternoon on Arthur Ashe Stadium as he defeated the 81st-ranked Frenchman 6-1, 6-3, 6-0. The Serbian needed just 88 minutes to blow away the veteran Frenchman in the windy conditions. The former champion broke the serve of Mathieu in the opening game of the match and never allowed his opponent to make a comeback in the match. “I have nothing to complain about, I wanted to get my job done as quick as possible,” said Djokovic.

"It's very windy, but I managed to adjust to the conditions that obviously are not easy for myself and my opponent," said Djokovic. “I managed to play better in the important moments, play solid, use my serve efficiently with accuracy rather than speed. Under the circumstances I think I came up with a very good performance. Stayed mentally tough and did not allow myself to get frustrated because of the wind and conditions that were obviously very tough for both of us.” The Serbian will next take on crowd favourite Sam Querrey for a place in the fourth round of the final Grand Slam of the year.

On the other hand, former World No. 2 Andy Murray defeated German qualifier Matthias Bachinger 6-3, 6-3, 6-4  to get to the round of 32. Next up for the Briton is Russia's Andrey Kuznetsov, who outlasted former World No. 7 Fernando Verdasco in five sets.
"It was extremely windy today," said Murray. “That was the hardest part about the conditions - just very, very breezy and difficult to play close to the lines.”

"But I hit the ball well considering, served better, and obviously I moved a bit better today as well."

The former Wimbledon champion looked in some sort of discomfort during his first round encounter against Robin Haase as questions gloomed over his fitness. However, during today’s match he looked in good shape.

"I hope I feel better every day now," Murray added.

"I felt fine the last couple days and had no problems on the Tuesday or Wednesday. I practised well and didn't have any problem. Tonight was fine, too."

I don't get the tennis exchange. Every player I've picked has won, and my net worth has gone down from the start of the month. Seems like it's better to buy and hold. Can someone explain what I'm doing wrong? I've written to TennisEarth but they never reply directly or via Facebook. Oh well, enjoy the Open, I am even if it frustrating to try and participate on this site.
