Novak Djokovic Vs Andy Murray: Shanghai ATP Masters Final Preview
In a chartbuster final at the Shanghai Masters, Novak Djokovic takes on Andy Murray for the title. Both players are coming off convincing straight sets victories in the semifinals.

Brace yourself for what promises to be one blockbuster final as the best of the best take show court. World No.2 Novak Djokovic faces World No.3 Andy Murray in the match for the title at the Shanghai Masters. Both players have shown great consistency throughout the tournament and there is no firm favorite going into this match.

Djokovic has been in some fine form and has been a front runner for the World No.1 title. His Asian Swing has been a fruitful one, winning the China Open last week. He has been in some threatening form, winning his last matches in straight sets, including a semi-final victory over Tomas Berdych. By making it to the finals here, Djokovic joined Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer as the only men to have reached the finals of all 9 Masters Events. He is also gunning to become the only man to have won 7 different ATP Masters 1000 titles, ahead of both Nadal and Federer at 6. With some outstanding reach and some amazing point play, Djokovic comes into the match with a 69-11 win-loss record and 4 titles behind his back.

On the other hand, Murray has been on dream run, winning the London Olympics and later lifting his first Grand Slam at the US Open. With a flawless performance in the semis against Federer, Murray is gunning to win the Shanghai Masters for a third year running. His amazing returns last night would be something Djokovic would be careful about.  With a 54-12 win-loss record, Murray is focusing on lifting a fourth title this year and would be aiming to reach the Numero Uno spot for the first time in his career as he stands an outside chance to do so.

This is the sixteenth meeting between the two with Djokovic just having his nose ahead at 8-7. Will it be Murray getting things at par or will Djokovic extend his lead? Stay tuned to find out!
