Former champion Novak Djokovic showed nerves of steel in the final match inside Arthur Ashe Stadium against Andy Murray to book his spot in the semi-final of the US Open for the tenth straight year.
While Djokovic seemed thrilled with his win, he said that he would go back and hit the sack straight away.
"My thoughts are just directed to sleeping right now," Djokovic said.
His mood, however, suggested that he wanted to do something completely different.
"Or party. What do you say? Let's party. I think my coach right there would chase me with a little baseball bat if he saw me going to the city to party right now," the Serb further quipped.
Next Up?
The World No.1 is now set to take on Japanese Kei Nishikori who defeated Aussie Open champion Stanislas Wawrinka in a five setter to reach this stage.
"We haven’t played against each other for a while. He’s a very talented player who has been Top 10. He’s very fast all over the court and serves well for his height.
"I’m expecting a tough one."
