David Nalbandian of Argentina has pulled out of the ongoing U.S. Open 2012 because of an unspecified injury. Nalbandian was scheduled to play countryman Juan Martin del Potro in the first round on Wednesday.
In his statement, he said ''I am really sorry that I cannot participate in the last Grand Slam event of the season and I hope I will be back for the Davis Cup tie against the Czech Republic in September.''
Nalbandian also withdrew from the men's doubles event at Flushing Meadows, where he teamed up with another countryman Eduardo Schwank.
