Second seeded Andreas Seppi of Italy booked his spot in the quarter-finals of 2012 Serbia Open with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Croatia’s Ivan Dodig.
The Italian converted 5 out of 7 break points to post the win in 1 hour and 38 minutes.
Seppi will next face eighth seeded Gilles Muller of Luxembourg, who posted a 6-3, 7-6(0) win over Argentina’s Eduardo Schwank.
Fourth-seeded Argentine David Nalbandian broke Slovenian Aljaz Bedene four times to beat him with 6-4, 6-3 scoreline.
The Argentine will next face Brazil's Joao Souza, who got a easy entry into the quarter-finals when his opponent Serbian wild card Dusan Lajovic, retired midway while trailing 2-4 in the first set.
