Chinese superstar Na Li scored a scintillating win over Maria Sharapova and stormed into the final of the 2011 French Open, season's second Grand Slam event being played here at Roland Garros in Paris, France.

Na Li opened the match on a bright note and broke Sharapova's serve in the second game to lead the first set comfortably. However, the Russian broke Li back to get things on level terms at 4-5. A fatal error then cost Sharapova her serve and with it, the opening set 4-6.
The second set saw a major shift in momentum when Sharapova broke Li in the very first game to lead the Chinese star by 3-1 and 4-2. Na Li, however bounced back by that time and once again put her nose in front at 5-4 and 6-5. The Russian's last service loss of the day eventually gave Na Li the historic 6-4, 7-5 win in straight sets.
This is Na Li's second successive Grand Slam final after a runner up finish to Kim Clijsters at the Australian Open.
Na Li faces the winner of the second semifinal between home favourite Marion Bartoli and defending champion Francesca Schiavone, who take courts just a few minutes from now on Court Philipp Chatrier.

In my modest opinion, Na Li will be crowned as the next Red Clay Queen! She is playing very consistently, and i guess it's time now for her to achieve the highest point of her career. Her last obstacle is nothing less than the defending champion, Schiavone. The italian is surprising for being at this stage of competition for the 2nd year in a row, but really it isn't a susprise because of the tenacity that she always shows. It will be a nice final, and i think that, this time, Li Na will prevail.
