It did not take much effort from Andy Murray to subdue the Slovakian Lukas Lacko in his opening match of the 2010 US Open, here at the Arthur Ashe stadium. The Scot earned an easy victory in three straight sets with a 6-3 6-2 6-2 scoreline and reached the second round of the US Open.

Murray earned the first break in the third game of the first set and went on to wrap it up with a 6-3 score. Murray poured in enough pressure in the start of the second set and got the break in the first game. Though, Lacko broke back, but he could not maintain the momentum and once again got broken and lost the second set.
The trend continued in the third set also as Murray broke the Slovakian twice in the third set and earned an easy victory in the end. Murray is eying his first Grand Slam title.
On the other hand, Wimbledon finalist Tomas Berdych is ousted by the Frenchman Michael Llodra in three straight sets with a 7-6 6-4 6-4 scoreline.
