Fourth seeded Andy Murray of Great Britain downed France’s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga with 6-3, 6-4, 3-6, 7-5 scoreline in the second Wimbledon semi-final match at the All England Club on Friday . Both players were bidding to reach the Wimbledon final for the first time in their career and it was Murray, who emerged victorious in the end.
Murray got a early break in the second game of the firt set and kept it till the end to wrap the set 6-3 in his favour. The British served 3 aces in the middle and won 78% points on his first serve. He placed 11 winners in the set and benefited from 9 unforced errors made by Tsonga.

The British raised the level of his serving in the second set as he served 82% of his first serves in and won points on 13 out 14 first serves. Murray will next face six time former champion and third seeded Roger Federer, who knocked out top seeded and defending champion Novak Djokovic with 6-3, 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 scoreline in a thrilling encounter earlier in the day.
