Both Andy Murray and Roger Federer said that they are ready for the final clash in Australian Open.

Andy Murray says he is fully geared up with the arsenal that will require to knock out World No 1 Roger Federer in Sunday's Australian Open final.

"I'm going to need to play my best match ever," said Murray. "I'm totally aware of that going into the match tomorrow."

"That's what I plan on doing. I'll try and play my best. If I do, I've got a good chance of winning."

Murray is trying to become the first British since Fred Perry in 1936 to win a men’s singles title at one of the four major tournaments.

"Roger's record in slams speaks for itself," added Murray. "If I'm going to play against him, it will take a special performance to win against him but I feel like I can do that.

"Physically I'm going to be a lot fresher and just play better."

Federer replied to Murray's verbal volleys that it will be the Brit who would be under huge pressure and not him.

"I know he'd like to win the first for British tennis in, what is it, like 150,000 years " Federer said.

"I think he really needs it more than I do, so I think the pressure's big on him. But we'll see how he's going to handle it. It's not going to be easy for him, that's for sure."

The Swiss Ace has already played in 21 Grand Slam finals, winning 15. He has won the Australian Open three times and will look to reclaim the title which he lost to Rafael Nadal last year in an epic five-set tussle.

" I have won many grand slams prior to that, been able to win here three times, so I know what it takes and how to do it, which is definitely an advantage."

I think Murray will beat Federer. Federer is sounding si conceited in interviews...and the thing he said about Britain not having wn the GS title in 150,000 years, its bad.....Not expected from Federer. Success has gone in his head.

It is definitely going to be Federer!! He demolished Tsonga in semi. It actually all depends on the first 2 sets.
