Milos Raonic is one of the most noticed players on the ATP Tour this season. The Canadian comes into this match with a 43-17 win-loss record and 2 titles in his pocket this season. A big serve is what he is known for and this booming serve has not let him down so far this year. He is second on the list of the aces count, next to John Isner. With his gigantic serve, this Canadian also possesses a very strong forehand, something that sums up to be a deadly combination. A strong contender to lift a Grand Slam title in the near future, the Canadian would be eying a berth in the O2 Arena. Last week he posted back-to-back Top 10 wins over No. 9 Janko Tipsarevic and No. 3 Andy Murray before losing to local star Kei Nishikori in the final.
Here at the Shanghai Masters, he takes on Aussie qualifier Marinko Matosevic in the first round match.
Matosevic shot to fame after reaching the finals of the Delray Beach Tennis Championships after being a qualifier. He has a win-loss record of 14-16 and would like to earn some victories here to improve his ranking.
This will be the first meeting between the two players and Raonic looks a firm favourite to win the clash.
