World No. 26 Milos Raonic of Canada will take on experienced campaigner Arnaud Clement of France in a second-round encounter of the 2012 Sony Ericsson Open. Raonic has been enjoying a superb form of late and he is expected to win this duel in straight sets.
Currently ranked as World No. 153, Arnaud Clement of France turned professional in 1996 and has won four ATP World Tour titles so far in his career so far. He has a poor 0-1 win-loss record this year. The thirty four years old Frenchman missed out many key tournaments last year.
On the other hand, twenty one years old Raonic has been playing superbly in the new season and has already claimed two ATP World Tour titles in San Jose and Chennai. Raonic is gunning for his fourth career title and has a stellar 16-3 win-loss record in 2012. The Canadian has all the potential to go places in this year’s second ATP Masters event, here at Miami.
This will be a first meeting between these two contenders and Raonic looks favourite to win this duel.
