In the last match on Tuesday at 2012 BMW Open, sixth seeded and 2010 champion Russian Mikhail Youzhny squares against two-time semi-finalist Philipp Petzschner of Germany for a place in the second round.
Youzhny comes into this tournament with 10-4 win loss record this year and won his eighth career title at Zagreb in February this year. He has a good 19-7 record in Munich and reached the final here twice in 2007 and 2009.
His opponent -Petzschner has a poor 3-7 win loss record this season and would definitely want to post some wins here. The German has managed to reach semi-finals here on last two occasions and would love to acheive the feat again.
Both the players have met four times before and Youzhny leads 3-1 in head to head contest. However in Munich, both players have scored a win against each other.
TennisEarth Pick: Youzhny in three hard fought sets.
