Over the years, Russian tennis powerhouse Maria Sharapova has emerged as a role-model for many aspiring athletes across the world. Besides excelling in tennis, the Russian also knows how to charm the press and fans alike with her looks and style. Sharapova floored the curious Delhi crowd with her words and looks during her first visit to India and she also expressed her desire to play a match in India – for her tremendous fan-base.

Sharapova revealed a lot of things, which are on her wish-list and also expressed her desire to act in Hollywood movies. The Russian chuckled, “Right now, too many things are happening in life. I’m tied up with my matches, brand associations and several other commitments. But someday, given an opportunity I would love to act in a Hollywood movie.”

When asked about her rival Serena Williams and soaring competition in the game, Sharapova quickly quoted, “It’s good for the game, we moved to US from Russia at a very young age, so that I could play tennis better as opportunities were more in the US. Also, not many tennis players have a shoulder surgery at 21, like I did. But I have bounced back and will surely be world No 1 again one day.”
