In the third match at Stockholm Open on Tuesday, the rising Belgian David Goffin takes on No. 7 seed and 2009 champion Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus. David Goffin is making his Stockholm debut and enjoying a decent form of late.
David Goffin is an ATP Newcomer of the Year candidate. The 21-year-old Belgian is ranked a career-high No. 45 this week. Earlier this season, Goffin reached the quarter-finals in Chennai and Winston-Salem and a Grand Slam-best fourth round at Roland Garros, where he lost to Roger Federer in four sets. He has also claimed two Challenger titles.
On the other hand, Marcos Baghdatis is currently ranked as No. 33. The former Top 10 player advanced into three semi-finals in Sydney, Zagreb, and Tokyo. The Cypriot has a good 32-23 match record with 23-14 on hard-court. Three years ago Baghdatis won the title here, defeating another Belgian Olivier Rochus.
This will be a first meeting between these two and we can expect some stunning tennis action.

Was surprised Goffin lost. I had shares in him, so more unhappy.

I think that Goffin is probably a little fresher.
