Former World No.1 Ana Ivanovic registeres a comprehensive victory over Frenchwoman and 2011 finalist Marion Bartoli to advance to the semifinals of the 2012 BNP Paribas Open. Ivanovic hit an impressive 21 winners to just 9 from Bartoli and also benefited from the 22 unforced errors committed by the Frenchwoman to win the one hour and 17 minute match without much ado.  Ivanovic won the title here in Indian Wells in 2008.

Bartoli handles pressure very well as she takes advantage of charging Ivanovic by peppering the lines with her forehands. She takes all the points in the game and gets to a quick hold of serve. She gets closer at 4-5 in the second as Ivanovic will be serving for the match
