A clinical performance by the Scot as he brushed aside the Serb in just over an hour. With 15 winners and 93% first serve points won, Murray broke the Troicki serve 5 times to seal the match 6-0, 6-3 and make a very impressive start to his clay court season. The third seed is playing some fascinating tennis and showing the variety that is expected out of him.

A love-service hold from  Troicki this time, as he makes the most of his probing serve and stays in touch with the Scot.  Troicki needs to come up with something special now, if he wants to take this battle into the final set. Its 3-4, second-set. 

A love-service hold from Murray and he extends his lead to 4-2 in the second-set. The Scot extracts two errors from  Troicki and then smacks a big kick serve to hold on to another love-service game. 

A difficult hold for the Serbian but he does well to keep the damage limited to a single break of serve.  Troicki serves well under pressure and holds on to his serve. 

Murray holds on to an easy service game this time and takes his lead to 3-1 in the second-set. The Scot is three games away from winning this duel. Time is running out quickly for  Troicki here. 

Murray breaks! And, the Scot once again draws the first blood. Murray waits and allows  Troicki to make mistakes. The Serbian commits a double-fault and then returns a backhand winner to get a breakthrough. Its 2-1, second-set. 

Murray continues from where he left in the first set. The Scot reels off another love-service game and takes the momentum of the first set into second. Tremendous serving once again from the Super-Scot. Its 1-1, second-set. 

Some respite for the Serbian here. After losing the first set on a tame note,  Troicki makes a fine start to the second-set by holding on to another tricky service game.  Troicki smacks a quick forehand volley winner near the net and then compliments it with a cross-court forehand winner. Its 1-0, second-set. 

And, its a bagel here! After 27 minutes of play, Murray clinched the first set. The Scot finished the first set in a clinical manner, as he did not allow the Serbian  Troicki to settle down at any moment. Murray mustered 91% points on his first serve, hammered 9 winners - duly converted 3 out of 8 break-points. Struggling Serbian Troicki did not have a single break point opportunity in the first set. 

No respite for Troicki here! The Serbian does well early on in this game by saving three break-points, but once again he gives into to recurring unforced errors.  Troicki fails to negotiate an easy backhand slice and then Murray seals the deal with a backhand winner down the line. Now, Murray will serve to go one set up in the match. 

Its one-way traffic at the moment. Once again, Murray makes the most of his probing and quick serve to unsettle the Serbian and reels off a love-service game. Murray leads with 4-0 in the first set. The Scot is just two games away from going one set up in the match. 

Murray breaks again!  Troicki commits another unforced error and opens up the floodgates, the Murray escalates the pressure by smacking a forehand winner down the line. Finally, the top Scot seals the deal with a backhand winner. Its 3-0, first set. 

Murray wastes little time to hold on to his serve and quickly takes his lead to 2-0 in the first set.
