As Spanish World No.4 Rafael Nadal nears his moment of truth (whether he will need surgery on his knees or not), ATP final's contender Richard Gasquet has himself complained about knee issues that the Frenchman is struggling with.
Knee problems are a constant torture on the ATP circuit. Fellow Frenchman Gael Monfils struggled with it, Del Potro too has a had a few problems, coupled with Nadal's long term issue. Rafa will soon know whether he needs to undergo surgery or not.
Gasquet has said that he has been playing on painkillers for a while now and doesn't intend to play this year because of those issues.
Going back to the Spaniard's troubles, the decision to undergo surgery will come soon, as a decisive meeting with his doctors will be held within the next few days.
