Federer opened the match like a champion and soon grabbed a break to close it by 6 games to 3. As the match progressed, Murray's serve got broken early on in the second set as well and gave Federer a golden chance which he confidently converted into a giant two sets to love lead.
The third set brought slight success for Murray who managed a couple of break point and secured a break for a while till he was broken back by Federer once again. As the set went into a tie-break, Federer took charge of the game and despite down two sets points, bounced back and cruised to a 6-3, 6-4, 7-6(11) victory in a two and a half hour match.
This is Federer's fourth Australian Open title after his wins in 2004, 4006 and 2007. With a win, Federer pocketed a hefty check of AUD 2.0 million and the memorable silverware.

I saw the match and though the score was 3-0, Federer was never comfortable. Had a lot of fun at TennisEarth chat as well.
