Top seeded and two time finalist American John Isner takes on qualifier Ruben Bemelmans of Belgium in the second round of 2012 Atlanta Tennis Championships.
After suffering a slump at French Open and Wimbledon this season, Isner looks to be back on track with a title haul at Newport last week. Isner is currently ranked at No 11 in the rankings and has a 28-12 win loss record this year. Earlier this season, he reached his first ATP 1000 tour final at Indian Wells and was a runner-up at Houston also.
His opponent- Bemelmans grabbed the eye balls as he qualified into the main round of Queen's Championships and then at Wimbledon this season. Currently he is enjoying a career-high ranking of No. 125 in the world.
This will be the first meeting between the two players and Isner looks a certain heavy-weight in the contest.
