Birthday boy Jo-Wilfried Tsonga played some amazing tennis to beat Philipp Kohlschreiber in straight-sets 6-2, 6-4 in 1 hour 25 minutes to move into round three of the Monte-Carlo Masters.
Tsonga won the first set 6-2 after a see saw battle in the first four games. The Frenchman turned up the gears, ripping through the German serve to win the first set 6-2. Tsonga played the set very well and this saw the German give in to the pressure. Tsonga was in full control after this set as his body language was even more positive.
The second set was a relatively a closer encounter, with the set going on serve, until the tenth game, where the German gave in to the pressure and got himself broken to see the match go out of his hands. Tsonga won the match after some enticing tennis added with his 25 winners.
End of it TennisEarth would like to wish Tsonga a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
