Bidding for her 13th career title, Jelena Jankovic was a name to associate with consistency a couple of seasons ago, but now she is not considered as a big threat by her opponents on tour. She started the new season on a high note by reaching the quarterfinals at Brisbane and then finished in the fourth round at Aussie Open. But afterwards, she failed to maintain any decent form on tour and lost in the second-round at Roland Garros and ousted in the Wimbledon opener. The Serbian has an ordinary 31-27 win-loss record for the season.
Today, she faces Andrea Petkovic of Germany in the pre-quarterfinal match of the 2012 Luxembourg Open.
Petkovic is currently ranked as World No. 192 in the WTA Rankings. The German has to miss-out most of the ongoing season due to injuries and has a poor 6-9 win-loss record for 2012 so far. She is gunning for her third career title.

As much as I love Petko, I love JJ too! hehe But since I am a fan of both, I really feel glad that Andrea is coming back to form. She was supposed to come to India for a WTA Challenger tournament; I was so happy!! But as luck would have it, and the Indian system, the tournament got shifted and Andrea isn't coming anymore :( P.S. You will love more comments, because they won't stop, how can I! haha

Yeah, they've become a name to associate with consistency in making factual, grammatical and ethical blunders. If they maintain this decent form, they will soon be shutting the website and will no longer be considered a threat by other low-ranked websites :D hehe

Agree with the comments. The number of times I feel my blood boiling at the ridiculous articles. Each article is indeed a cut and paste job: we're tennis fans reading a tennis site, so each match preview of Vika (for example) doesn't have to go through her whole year again! Sometimes it seems like the thesaurus is on commission at such incorrect uses of words!

What a great win for Petko, just what she needs. And I love the comment below!

How convenient! Copy and paste the whole paragraph from the previous article? WOW! Are you a stunted writer, can't you write a little introduction when writing a new article; it may be about the same person, but as a reader I found it utterly stupid! Tennisearth really is being run by mindless souls I guess. Every time I read an article, be it some Ajay or some Kushal, wrong facts, grammatical errors and this is a new one, a rip-off from your own previous article! I wonder if there's an editorial team. Is there?
