James Blake achieved the milestone of winning the 350th match of his rather long career after he beat fellow American Ryan Harrison after coming back from 1 set down. Blake a former ATP Top-5 player is ranked outside the Top-100 at 110 in the World but showed glimpses of his past form when he beat Harrison, who is 12 years younger to him 1-6, 6-3, 7-5.

The 32 year old advances to play Matthew Ebden in the next round. The Australian snapped a three-match losing spree, crusing past Sergei Bubka in the last two sets 5-7, 6-1, 6-1 in 92 minutes. Ebden broke Bubka on six occasions as he did not face any problems in the second and the third set.

Eighth seed Go Soeda rallied past Xavier Malisse 4-6, 7-5, 6-4. Ranked a career-high No.54, Soeda clinched the hard-fought contest in just over two and a half hours.
