Ivanovic to play in 2012 AEGON International WTA Tournament

Trying hard to redeem her position in the WTA Rankings, Serbian Ana Ivanovic will return to grass court by appearing at the AEGON International WTA Tournament in June 2012.
Former World No. 1 Ana Ivanovic of Serbia will be hoping to improve her performance on Grass, as she will play at Devonshire Park this year.
The 24-year-old Serbian confirmed that she will be appearing at the AEGON International in June 2012. Last year, Ivanovic fell to Venus Williams in the opening round of this tournament and in 2009, she lost to Russian giant killer Nadia Petrova in the second-round.
The 2008 French Open champion asserted, “Eastbourne is a charming tournament and it’s one of the most competitive on the Tour – the field there is always strong.” She further added that “I enjoy competing at Eastbourne for a number of reasons; one of them is the facilities. The grass is beautiful, and now that I have a British coach, I appreciate this tournament even more.
The AEGON International takes place from June 16-23, before The Championships, Wimbledon, which starts the following week.
