Andy Murray brought laurels home after a wait of many years and his gold medal triumph at London Olympics, has been commemorated on a stamp.
Andy Murray won gold medal for England in tennis singles event at Wimbledon after beating Roger Federer in the final – in three straight sets with a 6-2, 6-1, 6-4 scoreline on Sunday . With that victory, Murray also became the first British man to win the Olympic singles gold medal in tennis since 1908.
Now, his gold medal victory has been commemorated on a first-class stamp in Great Britain. The stamp has been on sale at post offices across the U.K.
Besides that Royal Mail has also painted a traditional red post box gold in Murray’s hometown of Dunblane.
