The big-serving American Andy Roddick went down in straight sets against the 114th ranked player in the world as Teimuraz Gabashvili of Russia won the biggest match of his career in three straight sets with a 6-4 6-4 6-2 scoreline.
With this win, Gabashvili not only staged the first big upset of the French Open 2010, but also became the first Russian to reach the 4th round at Roland Garros. He is likely to face the Spaniard David Ferrer in the next round.
Though, it might be considered as a big upset, Roddick never made it to the 4th round of the French Open even in his past outings, here at the Roland Garros.
